Time is going by way too quickly. Thinking about signing up for spring classes next week makes me feel like my abroad experience is almost over. This month has been incredible. Over fall break I traveled to four new countries in only nine days.
We started in Amsterdam. I loved how everyone rode bikes and used the canals for transportation. Amsterdam reminded me a lot of Venice, but a little more modern. We stayed in an Airbnb close to the university. It was interesting meeting college students from Amsterdam. They seemed much more relaxed, even though it was midterm season. Amsterdam was a beautiful city, and it was a lot of fun going to AMF. This is the original edm festival. It was amazing seeing Marshmello, David Guetta and Martin Garrix preform.
Next stop was Prague. I was not excepting to like it, but it ended up being my favorite place we visited. I had never been in a place ever like it. The buildings were all gorgeous and felt like I was in a pop up book. In the best way possible I felt like a princess roaming a fairytale city.
We then flew to Paris for a quick stop. (seriously quick, only 32 hours). We ate delicious american style breakfast food, which I had missing desperately and spent the afternoon under the Eiffel tower. I wished I had seen more of Paris. It reminded me a lot of New York City.
The last stop was Barcelona. Where I was staying reminded me a lot of Florida. It felt like I was back in Orlando for the weekend. The food was incredible. We went to a food market place and spent the afternoon eating fruits and seafood. It was nice seeing all the palm trees again.
Getting back into the school grind was a little hard after such an amazing week. However, Rome remains my favorite city. I loved every place, but I was excited to come back to my Roma.
