My study abroad experience was something that I will always cherish but now it is time for me to go back to reality. After my program ended I went back to my home country, Honduras. I spent Christmas with my family and had a great time seeing my friends. Being in Honduras took my mind off Italy but it didn’t make me forget it. Even though I was dying to see my family I still wish that I would be back in Italy traveling around Europe. The good thing about being home was that I didn’t have any responsibilities so I could just enjoy my holidays. After the program ending I feared that I would lose touch with the friends that I made but time has proven me wrong. The friendships that I made are strong as ever and it is not a crazy idea to think I might see them again. When the holidays ended and I had to go back to Rollins the reality really kicked in. I could feel the difference in the difficulty in the classes since day one and know I barely have any free time as opposed in Italy. I am also missing eating pasta and pizza every day and no matter what I cook myself here it will never be the same as all the delicious food I tried in Rome. In Italy we used to walk huge amount of distances so we would see many things and get our excercise in. Even though I ate pasta and pizza every day I still lost like ten pounds just by walking. In Orlando I have to watch everything I eat because I no longer do the same amount of walking and anything I eat could make me gain weight since it is filled with grease. Everyday I wish I could be back in Italy but now I have to look foward and focus on my studies. Perhaps one day my path will cross with Italy once again but until then its memories will always be with me.<\/p>\n
