Leaving Rome was one of the hardest goodbyes I’ve ever experienced. I fell completely in love with this city and all the amazing people I met along the way. In only three short months, I traveled to 7 new countries and countless of cities. As sappy as it sounds,\u00a0I made so many new friends and memories that would last forever.<\/p>\n

I am glad I kept an open mind and heart to the world around me. Even on tough days, I got up, got dressed and embraced it. It was hard learning how to time manage school, life back home and abroad life. Trinity Rome Campus had a very strict schedule with classes and work load, that made it a challenge to actually travel. I had classes Monday to Friday from 9 am to sometimes 7pm. Although I was very busy, I refused to sit around and not experience Europe.<\/p>\n

It is strange being back on campus. Seriously, post abroad depression is real. I am happy to see all my friends again, it almost feels like I never left. But it does not feel like my junior year ever began. Only 3 semesters left! Wow. Initially, I was planning on going abroad for a third time, but decided it was better to graduate on time with all my friends. Also, I’m not sure if anything would ever live up to my experience in Rome. The people I met were one of a kind. If it was not for the friends I made from Wesleyan, Colby, Bates, Grinnell, and Trinity, I would have not had such an incredible time. So beyond grateful for the Roma family I made. I have never had a group of friends more diverse ever. I loved being able to learn and hear experiences from them. Saying goodbye to them was one of the hardest.
