I can\u00b4t process how fast time goes. I can\u00b4t believe I\u00b4m halfway through the semester, it\u00b4s been an amazing experience so far. Six months may sound like a lot\u00a0but at times I regret not staying\u00a0for longer. It\u00b4s really an experience as you have days where you love everything (dim sum, Chinese food, the people, the parties) days where you could really see yourself living in that place. But once in a while you always miss home and really wish to eat nothing else but Mcdonalds. I found this feeling in multiple places I’ve visited.\u00a0 I’m really going to emphasize on how fast time progresses through the semester. With only six months, you have to make every day count. Making sure your taking advantage of all the beautiful places one can visit. So, if you are reading this and would ask me for an advice I\u00b4d say TIME MANAGEMENT.\u00a0 Save yourself some money and try to book every flight with enough time, set up goals of the places you want to visit or things you want to do, and remember to know when you have holidays. So far I\u00b4m approximately two months and two weeks into this adventure and I\u00b4ve visited Macao, Thailand (Bangkok), Philippines (El Nido), Taiwan, and I\u00b4m currently getting ready to spend my birthday in Japan. I know this is just getting started, but for me sometimes is unbelievable how much I\u00b4ve accomplished in this two months. I want to go into detail to the places that I\u00b4ve had the opportunity to visit, but also I want to talk a little about classes\u00a0and\u00a0 Hong Kongs everyday life. For this to make sense I\u00b4ll post a Meet me Halfway pt.2 for those interested in my particular experience in those countries. Living in Hong Kong for two months, I\u00b4m surprised with how fast I blended with the system and the people. By this time everyone has already their own group of friends, including me and everyone is planning different fun activities. You have the same classes with a lot of the exchange students so you never feel like an outsider. The environment is really welcoming, and although one may experience a language barrier with the locals, some of them have been abroad and are really really nice. As I mentioned in one the earlier posts, classes emphasize on exams and we just had our midterm exam which is usually 10-15%. Test where fair, but to be honest I choose really demanding classes like Calculus\u00a0 & Econometrics. I still didn\u00b4t do fairly, but it was definitely not the best exam I\u00b4ve taken. If I could go back to picking my classes I would have chosen\u00a0something easier if you want to be dedicating your time traveling taking easier classes will for sure make it easier.<\/p>\n
