It was the complete opposite of Madrid\u2014unknown, human-scaled, and nature is at arm\u2019s reach. This small town gave me perspective on how minimally a person actually needs to live, especially coming from a city like Madrid. I learned more about my classmates than I expected to, but I also learned a lot about myself. I do not need as much as I thought I did to sustain happily and comfortably, and I need to spend this lifetime experiencing as much of the world as possible to gain even more perspective.
