After my last post about Thailand, I hate to fool you thinking I am the traveling queen- but yes this post is about my past weekend in Brisbane! Brisbane is a well known city in Australia- full of art, beaches, sunshine, and good vibes. It was a cheeky getaway here with my good friend after class on a Friday and arriving back in Newcastle the following Monday. (No I am not promoting skipping class while abroad..) Anyways, it was great to say the least. While Thailand was a dream in itself, it feels so much more intimate to explore the county you are living in. As I have made Newcastle my home, in essence all of Australia is my home. In this sense, I really appreciated this past getaway. Its almost like getting to know a friend more deeply; every corner and exploration you learn something new about your home. However, it is kind of a trap reeling me in even more- as if I thought I couldn’t love Australia even more?
\nThe public transportation in Brisbane was really neat. There was a free ferry system just a walk away from our stay which took you to both coasts of the popular city. This made the city even more friendly, as walking every where was already a catch. Brisbane was one of the cleanest cities I have been too, incorporating the perfect amount of green to a busy city central. I highly recommend the visit to Brisbane, while here in Australia it remains lower on the list of places to see- I feel as if the humbleness just adds more value.<\/p>\n
Now time to get back to reality and focus on exams! Weighed much differently here than in the States.. wish me luck again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Hello again!
