The semester here in Newcastle ended November 23rd and I am still loving every day being here. I am still on college enjoying the company of my flatmates until the on campus accommodation runs out on the 9th. These last few nights on college have been a rollercoaster. It seems like there will always be a ‘last time’ for everything. With different travel plans, visa dates, and home lives- there has been a hard goodbye each day. It is amazing how impactful people can be on your life for such a short amount of time. In fact, my flatmate from Spain has already booked her ticket to Orlando, as well as a friend from England on college. Living somewhere temporarily really makes you cherish and appreciate each moment. A semester abroad forces you to live in the moment, a skill a lot of people struggle with or fail to have in general. It is almost this fact in particular that I would recommend; studying abroad teaches you many little ‘life hacks’ so to say. After I leave Newcastle I will be traveling around Australia until the 19th. I am traveling with a couple of my flatmates as well my friend coming over from the States. It is always cool when your ‘two worlds’ collide so to say. We are hitting four major cities in 10 days and I couldn’t be more excited. It will be a great send off exploring a new part of Australia with my new family over here. Next blog I will be in America! Looking forward to telling you about my trip.
