Currently at the airport leaving Sydney and entering our road trip. My final post be addressing how, if, and why my identity has changed while being abroad. My situation is unique because back at Rollins I was on the soccer team. I loved every second of it but unfortunately didn’t have much time for other things. Being abroad was a test for me in this sense- it was my first time without soccer. I was able to explore, travel, try new things and learn about myself. Without the parameters of soccer I would say yes, my identity has changed. To be honest I am not too fond of he phase as in my mind I perceive a negative connotation alongside it. However, I have learned to embrace my change. I have travelled on the weekends, joined a basketball team, and have done many other new things where I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do so back at Rollins. Because of this I am anxious to see how my life will change or be the same when returning. I believe it was not abroad where I changed but just the encompassing situation. I have also gained many different perspectives abroad in which I am incredibly thankful for and mentioned previously in other blogs with living in the International House. With a final goodbye I would say- embrace change!!! I can not wait to be back at Rollins but more importantly I can’t wait to come back to Australia.

Hello again!
