Finally settling into London, it feels weird. I don’t wake up every morning thinking I’m in a new place, it has started feeling a lot like home! I guess you could say I’m pretty much fully accustomed to the lifestyle, university, and food etc. It has also been extremely tough at times, especially getting used to buying groceries, cooking on my own, finding food that I like etc. I really took food for granted back at home. I think that has actually been the toughest part, and I know lots of other people faced the same problems with food too! But everything is smaller here, which makes it easier as it is more manageable.<\/p>\n
I have not been able to travel which has really bugged me as there’s a bunch of visa stuff I need to do, and even then, with the visa I am on now, the consulate recommended I shouldn’t apply for a Schengen visa at all because it is likely to take more than 2 months…? I’m not risking that! Apart from that, I am going to watch Aladin in the West End in Prince Edward theatre which I am very excited about as it is a once in a lifetime experience!<\/p>\n
I am not homesick as I have my sister who lives not too far London and I try and see her most weekends if time allows. My family is also visiting this weekend so I have lots going on right now! I am however feeling a little stressed about my assignments as the system here is SO different. You only have 1-2 classes a day, and the rest is free so you feel like you have nothing to do all day. But now slowly all the assignments have crept up on me and I really hope I’ll be able to finish it all.<\/p>\n
Other than that, I can’t believe my time abroad is almost over. We only have 2 weeks of uni left, and then have a month break to study for exams. It feels weird to start planning my next semester at Rollins already. Not sure how much I like the feeling of change, AGAIN. It’s kinda scary…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
