Time is flying by and at this point, I only have four more weeks left of school. Like every semester, the end is where everything starts to pick up and you have a lot of work so I\u2019ve been really busy with school and making the best out of the remaining time I have here. At this point, I\u2019m getting used to my lifestyle here but I\u2019m ready to go home for the most part. I guess you could say I\u2019m getting tired of living out of my suitcase. I miss all my clothes, shoes and jewelry. I miss my pictures, decorations, bed and books. I miss my friends and family. I miss Rollins and the familiarity of language, lifestyle, people, food and places. Studying abroad is an incredible experience and I wouldn\u2019t change anything but it is definitely not easy living in a temporary situation for 5 months. It\u2019s pretty much like I\u2019ve been on vacation for too long and I\u2019m ready to get back to normal life. <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m currently in the process of trying to gather as much information about schools here for a masters program before I go back to the States and I\u2019m not having much luck. I think this is a difficult process because the school system works much differently here. Students can\u2019t study music here like we can in the US. If a student chooses to study an instrument and become a performer, composer or conductor, they would need to study at a special school specifically for music. It is not possible to study an instrument at a university in Germany so the fact that I am able to do so while also studying other subjects is a foreign concept here. So, it\u2019s a bit of a challenge trying to figure everything out and understand how everything works here, while also trying to learn and understand the music world but I\u2019m getting somewhere and I have to at least give myself credit for that!<\/span><\/p>\n

All of this talk and thought about life after Rollins is so stressful and I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m going to be starting my senior in August. I literally feel like I was a freshman last week, I remember it all so vividly. It\u2019s so strange staying abroad up until right before we start school, I won\u2019t get much of a break at all but I definitely choose this experience over anything else. So, here\u2019s to the last five weeks of school and the last couple months left in Europe! I will do the very best I can to make my time left here worth it! <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
