Though at times I would change my mind on where to study abroad, I kept coming back to London as I love the hustle and bustle of the city as well as all of its history. I am excited to become more independent and to gain professional skills while having an internship during my time here. However, this is also what scares me the most. I think it will be a big adjustment living in a foreign city, going to classes in a whole new environment, and starting an internship and immersing myself in a foreign professional setting. I am looking forward to getting a new perspective in the work force as well as become more skillful in my areas of interest and cannot wait to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

I am grateful that Rollins has
pushed study abroad so much as it was an easier decision to make since hearing
such great experiences from friends who studied abroad. I feel as though this
experience is truly what it means to be a global citizen and responsible leader
as I wish to travel and learn by navigating new territories and growing from
new experiences.

One of the identities I put down
while applying for the study abroad program is student. I am excited to take the role of being a student outside
of the classroom. Being a student means that I am excited to learn new things
and reflect on them. I hope to do this by learning from new professors in a new
environment with students who come from all different backgrounds and colleges
as well as through exploring London and other places in Europe, and through
working with new co-workers in a new professional setting.

            Though studying abroad is nerve
racking, I am so excited to learn more about myself through these once in a
life time experiences and hope to return with greater perspectives and
experiences that can help me in the future both professionally and culturally.

by ESEIDEN When I came to Rollins I always knew I wanted to study abroad and had my heart set on London.
