At first, I was so excited to be here that nothing was a problem for me. As the weeks went on, the reality began to set in and it was though getting used to the weather. It’s cold and can be gloomy for weeks at a time. Coming from Florida, this was the biggest shock for me. Not being able to spend time outdoors was a challenge for my overall wellbeing. I found it challenging to stay mentally and physically fit. Thankfully, today was the warmest day since I’ve been here. It was so nice to be able to go for a jog and walk in the park! I know now, the effect weather can have on your mental health. I always wake up in a good mood when it’s nice out and feel sluggish on rainy days. I experienced winter for the first time being here. So to say the least, I am learning and growing a lot. I’m happy it’s now spring!!! The flowers are beginning to bloom and it’s beautiful to see! I feel a lot more connected to myself and nature experiencing the seasons change. I have visited all of the major museums and art galleries. I met a lot of interesting people, too! I heard before coming, how the English language spoken in England will be surprising. This is true! It’s crazy how many different words and phrases they use that are very different from ours.
I do feel homesick at times. I miss my family and friends, but I am trying to make the most of my time here. I’m excited to be able to explore a lot more now that it’s finally sunny and getting warmer. Also, there are no more covid restrictions! Yay!

<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
I’ve been in London for a little over 2 months now.
