One thing about me is that when I travel, there is no downtime besides sleeping at night. The desire to see and experience everything when I am in a new place burns and does not let me rest. In Singapore, I saw the most intricate architecture. It was hard to comprehend that these buildings were on the same planet as me. They looked otherworldly.

My visit to the Cloud Forest is one that I recommend for anyone traveling to Singapore, and not just because of its cool, refreshing temperature but because the biology major in me found it fascinating. It is a giant microcosm of life. Completely sealed from the outdoor environment, I had never breathed in such crisp, fresh air in the Cloud Forest. The oxygen is freshly produced from the plethora of plants within this giant dome, free of pollutants.

Although I always have preferred nature over city life, Kaula Lumpur in Malaysia looked ravishing from the view at the top of the Petronas towers. Full of color, pride, and purpose, the hike up the stairs to the caves was accompanied by sweat and wild monkeys, but totally worth it. My favorite part about these caves was seeing everyone with such intent on their faces. Passion is something I find very attractive and valuable in people. When you enter the caves, you’ll find impressive religious structures. I loved how it was physical from the journey up the stair case, auditory from the live prayers and worshipping, and visual from the massive interior of the caves and the vibrant colors.

There is no such thing as travel without extensive sight seeing!
