This week has immersed me further into the German culture. Our class levels have finally been settled and a daily routine is starting to develop.&nbsp; Dr. Decker took us on a tour through the promenade that culminated in our group getting food a local restaurant (it was fantastic!)<\/p>\n<p>The classes have been informative. It\u2019s great to be able to practice what I learn in the classroom in the real world. However, I have found that many Germans are more than willing want to practice their English than to speak German with us. &nbsp;This has made it somewhat difficult to practice my German but I can tell that my foreign language skills are developing nonetheless!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been nice to meet people from other countries and explore differences and similarities between their native land and the U.S.A. Many of the Kapito students have come from Taiwan and Switzerland. This study abroad experience has not only heightened my knowledge about German culture but has taught me what it means to be a global citizen.
