My first day here I got an Oyster Card, and have been figuring out all the public transportation, which is so nice because you can easily make it around London relatively quickly! It is a lot more crowded than I am used to, but it is still nice. It has been a little stressful this week figuring out my schedule for the semester, but I finally got it figured out today, and I will have plenty of time to travel around Europe on the weekends.<\/p>\n
Last weekend, I also went and saw Queen Elizabeth Olympic park. There was the rugby world cup happening, so it was a little crowded, but we saw that you can go up in the tower next to the stadium, and I want to do that soon. I was able to go and swim in the Olympic pool, which, being a swimmer, was extremely fun. It is way different seeing things on television versus seeing it in real life. The pool seemed a lot smaller than it did on television, and the stands were extremely close to the pool, so it would have been amazing to have been there. Overall it has been a 2 fun weeks, and I am excited to continue my adventure in London.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
I have been at Queen Mary for almost two weeks, and it has been pretty fun so far.
