So before Hochschule started, I wanted to be responsible and sharpen my German before hand. Therefore I enrolled in a free intensive two week language course as provided by Hochschule, and it was a way to meet some people who would be in this same boat as me and also a way to get settled here, to know the layout of the land, in Germany beforehand. The language course was very cool and was very useful, I learned some business German vocab and prepared myself for the 6-7 hour days of class I suffer through here in Hochschule. I really like out teacher she was really nice, and one day as a gag joke, and also because I acquired some flowers two or three days before, I gave her the flowers for being late one day because my chicken took a little longer to cook than expected. The course focused on teachings us some new tenses, some new vocab, and most of all prepared us by surrounding us in German for as much time as possible. The overall atmosphere of the class was a lot easier than what I’m experiencing now, but that comes with the title of it just being a language course as opposed to accounting, finance, and other courses in German.

As for the travelling, I tried to take advantage of the little time I had to have fun, I took two consecutive trips to Stuttgart, and got immersed in the local culture. However the local culture of Stuttgart is a very expensive one. Since it is where Porsche and Mercedes are located everything except döner is expensive. Just FYI for the one person who’s depressing job it is to read these(I’m sorry), a Mercedes Museum ticket is ten euros and the public transport day pass, which is not as reliable as you think is another 20 plus getting from Hochschule to Stuttgart is another 25. Therefore if you don’t bleed the Mercedes cherry red, in retrospect there is absolutely no point to go there. One cool thing about Stuttgart is the mineral baths they have there. As much as I’d love to go to Budapest, I can’t because Hochschule takes up most of my time, the Stuttgart baths are a far second. I never went because it’s October here and I’m already wearing wool sweaters since mid September. But if I did I’d post a shirtless photo of me there, because #freethenipple. Outside of this nothing interesting has happened, because no one here is here to travel and have fun, because Hochschule is too time consuming.

Word count: 449 My first two weeks here in Germany have passed, and I must say the pre game stretch was good.
