When looking back, four weeks seemed like a long time. Taking class day by day, along with any other chores I had to do on a daily basis, seemed exhaustive. However, one thing, after all my work was done, that I could always count on, were the friend and bonds that I made. It can be so easy to forget the simple things in life. The ridiculous moments, the laughs, all the senseless conversations, the conversations that were in a combination of french, german, and english. Those are the moments you hate, but at the same time, those are the moments you miss when they are gone. I learned a lot at KAPITO, but in the end, I learned more from the Swiss kids, the Taiwanese kids, my German host mother, and my fellow Rollins peers. I left KAPITO with more than a certificate in the German language, I left with new friends, and memories that not everyone has the opportunity to make in life. I&#8217;ve had an opportunity that no one in my family has even had the opportunity to make.
