As any person who has studied abroad knows, it changes you. This is also the case for me. I had quite a few expectations and ideas of how studying in Israel would be, yet I could not have prepared myself for&nbsp;what I experienced in the last five months. Israel is definitely a unique nation, one that is consistently in an international spotlight. I came into Israel with preconceived notions of how the culture and people would be, and in more than a few aspects I was proven wrong. My feelings towards Israel have stayed the same, but I have definitely been enlightened to many of the complex inner working of the society that are possible to understand without experiencing them for one&#8217;s self. Coming back to the U.S. is definitely going to be difficult, though I&#8217;m more than ready to come home. I hope that I will be able to go back to Israel one day, but who knows where life will take me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In an hour i will be on a plane to New York.
