I spent the first few days in Greece as part of my spring break adventure, but that was my only time spent out of the UK that month. But that was not a negative at all, I still had a great time exploring my “home” city.

I did a lot of things on my London bucket list in the first few weeks of March. And of course, knowing me, most of these things revolved around food. I went to the ever-popular Cereal Killer Cafe (Camden location) and I tried the loaded peanut butter cup milkshake. Naturally, it was fantastic and I even got to talk to the owners of Cereal Killer who were seated next to me. I also went to the Peggy Porschen Cake Shop- a prestigious bakery located near Sloane Square. This was probably the best cake I ever had and I frequented this throughout the rest of my time in London. Finally, I stumbled upon Maitre Choux, an eclair cafe in South Kensington. While vastly overpriced ($9 for a 5 inch long eclair), I had the “American” eclair (popcorn and caramel) and it was delicious!

I also got to explore new neighborhoods of London. My absolute favorite was an area called Shoreditch. This is home to the famous Brick Lane, known for its curry houses. There’s also a huge amount of vintage shops and street art, a very hipster vibe is present throughout the town! My favorite place in Shoreditch had to be Kahaila Cafe. This small cafe takes all of its profits to help underprivileged/victimized women, and it also happens to have amazing food and very kind staff. This became one of my favorite study spots in London.

Finally, I took a trip with one of my friends out to the small town of Stratford-upon-Avon, a few hours away from London. This town is known for being the home of William Shakespeare- we visited both is birthplace/home as well as his grave. And it happened to be particularly special due to it being the 400th Anniversary of his birth/death (he died on his birthday- how efficient!). I’m very glad I went on this trip- the English countryside is a lovely place to explore.

March was the one month of the bunch where I really didn’t travel much at all.
