This is for all those thinking about visiting, studying, or living in Rome. Here are some tips\/suggestions:<\/p>\n<p>(I will update this if I think of more!)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The cars may stop for you, but the motorbikes rarely will<\/li>\n<li>Yes, you can drink from that small fountain spewing water onto the ground, but don&#8217;t try to do so from the large one with the statue and the railing<\/li>\n<li>The best gelato is near the Pantheon<\/li>\n<li>People will constantly try to sell you selfie sticks<\/li>\n<li>Suppli are delicious<\/li>\n<li>You may think no more people can physically fit on this bus, but the Romans will prove you wrong<\/li>\n<li>You have to ask for the check<\/li>\n<li>Do not expect the buses to run on time<\/li>\n<li>Closed at 8 does not mean walk in at 7:59, it means they are in their car driving home by 8<\/li>\n<li>The Vatican museum is free the last Sunday of the month<\/li>\n<li>Most of Rome&#8217;s museums and sites are free the first Sunday of the month<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t pay more than 10 euro for spray paint art<\/li>\n<li>Yes, you can have gelato twice in one day&#8230;.or three times&#8230;.sometimes more<\/li>\n<li>Do not hail a taxi off the street, call one or get it from a taxi stand<\/li>\n<li>Bready is a small fast-food-like restaurant by the second to last stop on the 8 Tram as it heads toward Casaletto: GO THERE, the fried chicken strips are AMAZING<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16597\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16597\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/bready-300x169.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16597 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/bready-300x169-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-16597\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bready is always there for you, go there, go and eat some of the best fried chicken strips you will ever have<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have less than a week in Rome left, and as much as I would love to stop home and see everyone and do my summer traveling, the idea that I will not be returning to Rome, to my new home, seems unreal.
