I find that its easy to find something to do because this city is packed with so many parks, cafes, restaurants, historical sites, and cool people!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve done some pretty cool things so far in my 23 days being here. My host family speaks only Spanish, and I find that I&#8217;m learning the language fairly quickly and understanding what they say has become less of a challenge. \u00a0Although there is still an outstanding language barrier present, I still find myself navigating and exploring this city a lot easier than when I first arrived here. \u00a0On \u00a0one of the first few days of being here, I was able to experience the Festival de San Isidro- which gave me a large view of the culture here in Spain; the food, people, music, and lifestyle is all such an awesome thing to be a part of and get to experience.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/san-isidro-ferris-wheel-300x169.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16533 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/san-isidro-ferris-wheel-300x169-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My time in Madrid has been flying by so far.
