{"id":5358,"date":"2016-08-31T14:39:13","date_gmt":"2016-08-31T18:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/social.rollins.edu\/wpsites\/letters\/?p=5358"},"modified":"2019-07-18T17:19:15","modified_gmt":"2019-07-18T17:19:15","slug":"still-in-the-u-s-unfortunately","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/2016\/08\/31\/still-in-the-u-s-unfortunately\/","title":{"rendered":"Still in the U.S. Unfortunately"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ciao!<\/p>\n<p>My name is Kelly Farrell and I am going into my junior year at Rollins. &nbsp;I study Art History, row on the college&#8217;s team, and eat food with my friends. &nbsp;This year will consist of much of the same, except the first three and a half months I will be in Rome and I leave tomorrow morning. &nbsp;I am very excited about this and just finished going through my suitcase one last time and making sure it is under the maximum fifty pound weight limit (just barely).<\/p>\n<p>I leave tomorrow morning and still find it hard to believe. &nbsp;For the past two weeks I have been laying on my couch watching all my friends snapchat stories at school wondering why I am not there. &nbsp;Maybe wandering lost along the cobblestone streets of Rome it will finally hit me that I&#8217;m in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the world! &nbsp;There are so many things I am looking forward to, most which fall under the category of either food or art. &nbsp;A couple things I am nervous about is not having all the necessary documentation or forgetting about something that is completely obvious and necessary. &nbsp;However, I believe I am prepared and am looking forward to immersing myself into another culture and taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity. &nbsp;Next time I write I&#8217;ll be in Rome!<\/p>\n<p>Arrivederci!<\/p>\n<p>Kelly<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ciao!
