The city has been wet and grey and I’ve been feeling the same. I really hope the weather gets better and can finally enjoy some sun!

I just thought I’d update you guys on my life since the last time we met 🙂 I’ll try to go in chronological order!

First off, the tango performance went great. It was really nice to show everyone a little bit of BA culture and show everybody what we got. After the performance during the night, we went to Fuerza Bruta. This is a multi-sensory show that I find really hard to explain to people. It’s similar to Cirque du Soleil but much more hands on and features some more adult themes and content. Some highlights of the show include a see-through tank above the audience with dancers inside which then is brought down over your head and you are able to touch it. It was INSANE! Let’s just say it rained inside that day. (Good thing it was a hot day!) I’ll put the trailer below so you can see a glimpse of the insanity and amazing-ness that is Fuerza Bruta.

Next exciting event: I got to go to El Teatro Colón for a tango concer called María de Buenos Aires, for free! Even though I had to wait in a line that wrapped all the way around the whole theatre for 2 hours and we got the nose-bleed seats, at least I can say that I have been. The theatre is amazing! It’s so huge and majestic, I can see why it’s one of the best theatres in the world. Coming up soon, I am hoping to go to a ballet at Teatro Colón. I’m so excited!!

Midterms are coming up so I have to write essays mostly and presentations. I like the classes so I don’t think I’ll have too many problems with writing about interesting topics.

This Sunday we are going to the campo or countryside for a day of nature and gaucho culture. I’m looking forward to going to a real asado and trying out the famous meat that everyone has been talking about. Also I’m planning a trip to Iguazu at the end of the month with one of my friends. The waterfalls there look incredible and I’m extremely exited to go. I can’t wait to tell you all more about my adventures coming up soon.

Till next time!

Besos,

Anneliese

It’s been a rainy and cold few days here in Buenos Aires.
