I just finished my last final of my study abroad experience. A lot of my friends have been done for a while now, but I had my hardest final to date today. Don’t get me wrong – I am elated to be done with class, and am looking forward to relaxing. But this also means I leave for home in 2 days. I cannot believe that in just 2 short days I will be on a plane, leaving the country I have called home for 5 months. This has been one of the absolute greatest experiences of my life. I have made new friends, explored incredible places, and learned things about myself that I never would’ve been able to do had I not committed to this experience.

Although I am beyond excited to see my friends, family, and dog, New Zealand will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss the many hikes that are never too far from anywhere, the sheep, the accent that I have grown to love, and so much more. Now, the only thing I have left in my incredible journey is hopping on a plane – and 27 hours later (yet only 8 hours later because of the 18 hour time difference), arriving home and being able to hug my parents and sister.

Wouldn’t have had this experience any other way.

Cheers New Zealand, until next time!

I write this with a lot of mixed emotions.
