{"id":6469,"date":"2016-11-15T08:35:17","date_gmt":"2016-11-15T13:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/social.rollins.edu\/wpsites\/letters\/?p=6469"},"modified":"2019-07-17T18:24:05","modified_gmt":"2019-07-17T18:24:05","slug":"to-future-residents-of-camden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/2016\/11\/15\/to-future-residents-of-camden\/","title":{"rendered":"To Future Residents of Camden"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi people!<\/p>\n<p>So, last week I did not really do much TBH&#8230; It was kind of the &#8220;restart week&#8221; for the CAPA program since we just came back from break&#8230; Side note, doing laundry after one week of traveling in a 4 people-flat that only has one washer and two drying recs was a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, since I did not plan to do anything during the weekend, I decided to go with the flow and get to actually know Camden.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out that what I thought I knew about Camden was completely wrong, I believed that it was a place full of strange but cool goth people and random goth bars&#8230; It is actually the complete opposite! Camden has the most interesting and fun night-life!<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, right after my internship, I head back to Camden and had the BEST BURGER \u00a0I have ever had&#8230; No offense to those who love BurgerFi, these were actually 10 times better. But for those who are not burger lovers, there are hundreds of options in the Camden&#8217;s Market, the gigantic farmers market I wrote about in one of my previous posts. After that, a lot of friends from other universities came to our building and hang out while we got ready to go out!<\/p>\n<p>If you like clubbing and partying or even if you like chill pubs, Camden is your place&#8230; It has EVERYTHING! My friends and I went to this really fun club called Proud Camden which is located in the Stables&#8230; Yeap, horse stables turned into private booths and a huge dancefloor sounds weird but is actually pretty fun!<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/proudcamden.com\/<\/p>\n<p>There is also a really fun live-music venue called KOKO that I will be visiting soon! People have told me is really nice and fun!<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.koko.uk.com\/<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, I was very tired so I decided to sleep in, but when I finally woke up I was really hungry and I was too lazy to make something so I went around Camden looking for food&#8230; I found this really cool place called &#8220;Cereal Killer Bar&#8221;&#8230;. no explanation needed<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cereal-1-300x169.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15889 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cereal-1-300x169-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cereal-2-300x225.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15890 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cereal-2-300x225-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yep, the chairs are actually beds, no, you do not pay for extra milk!<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, I got free tickets from my internship to go to the BBC Good Food Show&#8230; SO MUCH FOOD DOE! If you are a foodie and you enjoy trying new food and learning new ways to cook, this is probably heaven for you!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/food-300x201.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15891 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/food-300x201-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That was pretty much my weekend&#8230; That and a lot of shopping!<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it, if you ever come to London, make sure to visit Camden&#8230; it&#8217;s an unforgettable experience and you won&#8217;t regret it!<\/p>\n<p>Till next week!
