It seems as if I never left and kind of like my time in London was a dream. It is so surreal to have had this experience and come back to America as a changed person. From my time in London I have learned how to be more independent, gained some confidence in cooking, and feel ready to take on more in the future.

Cooking was difficult at first, I stuck to mainly chicken and pasta. Over time I got a bit better and more experimental with my dinners. It was a good way to save money and learn some life skills. I am so used to always having food around like meal plan, so this was a different type of experience for me.

From my internship, I feel much more ready to go into a job in the future even if I don’t know what that job will be. No matter what, I know I have the confidence and skill set to accomplish it after this internship. Sometimes, my supervisor could be really fussy and difficult for me to deal with and I just had to learn to get over it and figure it out myself.

Overall I am so thankful for my time in London. I know that this has been an experience that I will never forget and that I have grown so much in these past 4 months.

On Saturday I flew back to Washington DC from London and went back to my life in America.
