My roommate and I went to Ostiense, which is a neighbourhood that is full of street art. It was so beautiful, there were so many colors and abstract drawings. There was also drawings of people such as Obama, Frida Kahlo and some Italian figures. It used to be a pretty dangerous neighbourhood but thanks to the art, it attracts many tourists now and gave the inhabitants some purpose. Located near here is also the graveyard behind the pyramid where John Keats and Mary Shelley are buried! We went there for an art class which was really interesting. Some friends and I also went to Venice which was so amazing, the gondola was everything I expected and more. It was a little colder than I had hoped but it didn’t take away too much from the stunning churches and beautiful bubblegum pink sunset that bid us farewell that night. It’s almost time to leave and I can’t explain how bittersweet the feeling is. On the one hand I’m exhausted, finals have really stressed me out and I want to see my family. However, on the other hand I can’t imagine not coming back here after break. I’m going to miss everything about this city; the food, the wine, the people, the architecture… even the weather!

These last couple weeks I’ve decided to stay in Italy instead of travelling around because I really wanted to enjoy Rome and finally get around to visiting restaurants that had been recommended to me and visit different neighbourhoods in Rome.
