IAU is the name of the school I attend, which is about a twenty-minute walk from where I live. The school is small and has a total of approx. 200 students. Similar to the structure at Rollins, attendance at IAU is mandatory, and each class has a range of about 8-12 students total.<\/p>\n<p>\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219<\/p>\n<p>Two weekends ago, our class went to visit Monte Carlo, which is\u00a0the central quarter of the principality of Monaco.\u00a0We visited the <em>Casino de Monte-Carlo<\/em>, which was built in 1863 and later expanded to the designs of the famous architect Charles Garnier (designer of\u00a0the Paris Opera house).<\/p>\n<p>We then visited the <em>Historic Fragonard Factory<\/em> in the town of Grasse, which is the world&#8217;s capital of perfume. In 1926, entrepreneur Eug\u00e8ne Fuchs opened the perfumery, naming it after the famous painter, Jean-Honor\u00e9 Fragonard. At the Factory, we were offered a guided tour of the laboratory, learning about the production &amp; packaging of perfume.<\/p>\n<p>\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219\u2219<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday, IAU departed to Les Orres (the Alps), a village located in the southeast of France. On both Saturday and Sunday, we were able to ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or sled.
