New Zealand is awesome. \u00a0I’ve been going so many incredible places and doing so many amazing things in the past few weeks. \u00a0Two weekends ago I visited some of my friends in Wellington. \u00a0It rained the whole time which was unfortunate but I still managed to have a good time! \u00a0We built a blanket fort and watched a movie in it – a great rainy day activity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I climbed up to the top of Mount Victoria and shared a bottle of wine with a friend.. windy and cloudy but a lovely view!<\/p>\n

Last Friday,\u00a0I celebrated St Patty’s, which was a wild day full of drunken college students. \u00a0The rest of the weekend, I went on an awesome camping\/roadtrip with a group of friends.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

First stop: Elephant Rocks. \u00a0I don’t really think they looked like elephants besides being large and gray, but one of them did kinda look like a deformed dolphin with two dorsal fins.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Pit stop at the Clay Cliffs, a wild formation in the middle of nowhere (most of New Zealand is the middle of nowhere, making for beautiful scenery on road trips). \u00a0Tried to climb up the rocky slopes and cliffs but just ended up slipping a couple of times, and grabbing the walls doesn’t help because they’re clay so they just crumble in your hand. \u00a0A childhood of climbing up doorways (much to my mom’s\u00a0dismay) lent itself to a funny picture of me being a goof.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We hiked through Hooker Valley and got a great view of Mount Cook as well as a glacier which actually looked like a blob of dirt and was not awesome and blue like I would have imagined. \u00a0There was a pretty wild chunk of ice in the lake though (you can kind of see it in the background) and although the lake was the ugliest gray murky lake I’ve ever seen, the ice kinda looked like a stretched out version of Darth Vader’s mask which was cool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Witnessed the most BEAUTIFUL sunset of all time while camping in Wanaka! \u00a0We also had a lovely campfire and all cuddled in our tents while we froze.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The obligatory van pic.. overlooking the gorgeous Lake Pukaki, most likely the bluest lake in New Zealand.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Next hike: to the Rocky Mountain in the Diamond Lake Conservation Area! \u00a0A long, steep hike with about 250 stairs and tons of steep slopes. \u00a0We complained a lot on the way up but the view was obviously worth it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bungy jumping at the Kawarau Bridge in Queenstown!!! Hands down the COOLEST thing I have ever done in my life. \u00a0I was so nervous beforehand. \u00a0While the guys were tying my legs up and I was getting ready to jump, I could not stop asking them questions – “If I hit the water, will it hurt?” “Do I jump out or just drop off?” “Should I dive? \u00a0I don’t know how to dive.” \u00a0But 1, 2, 3, jump, and I was flying! \u00a0It was terrifying and amazing, 10\/10 would recommend and I want to do it again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
