Navigating was a challenge, but the experience was worth it. I conducted conversations with cell phone store clerks and airport authorities alike. I experienced the cold but refreshing air of a late German winter as I passed old brick buildings and castles on hillsides.

Here in Münster, I am taking classes at the KAPITO Language School. I have already gone for a stroll through the city center, and it is breathtaking. I tagged along with a tour-group and overheard that some of the buildings I saw today were built in the 1500’s! The St. Lamberti church was particularly inspiring, and I’ve included a picture of it in this post. Although I have only been in this city for a short time, it seems like it has so much to offer, and I am eager to do a lot of exploring in the next few days.

As far as my living situation, I am renting a room 3 km away from my school. A fellow student is renting another room in the same apartment. He and the landlord are really nice, and I’m getting along with them very well.

Willkommen in Deutschland Video

After spending countless hours on planes, trains, and buses, I finally arrived at the first of two destinations on my program—Münster, Germany!
