This place is too good to be true! This week included a trip to Piopiotahi (Milford Sound), also known as the \u201ceighth wonder of the world.\u201d It was the first time I camped in thirty degree weather. When planning a camping trip in the South Island of New Zealand, make sure to pack wool everything! If I didn\u2019t have my wool socks and beanie, I probably would not have slept at all throughout the night. Temperatures dropped drastically and quickly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6459-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15193 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6459-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Packed and ready to go!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6547-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15194 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6547-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just nestled in the corner of the Milky Way<\/p>\n<p>We camped in the fiord lands and hiked to Lake Marian and Kepler Track!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AGNC3556-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15195 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AGNC3556-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Greenery on the way to Marian<\/p>\n<p>The hike to Lake Marian was about six hour\u2019s total.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6642-2-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15196 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6642-2-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the way to Marian, we passed countless waterfalls. The Hawaiian water women in me couldn\u2019t resist the blue waters. So even though it was fifty-five degrees out, I had to jump in! I couldn\u2019t feel my body for a solid minute but it was worth it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6761-6-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15197 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6761-6-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Piopiotahi<\/p>\n<p>The heart of Piopiotahi is stunning. Dolphins were swimming in the bay!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6773-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15198 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.rollins.edu\/letters\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_6773-300x200-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Magnificent view and superb company! There is no question why Piopiotahi is named the eighth wonder of the world. Piopiotahi has taken first place for most amazing place visited here in New Zealand thus far.
