My classes have been interesting and fun, especially my Shakespeare class. It’s just so fun to read and discuss and watch the plays with people who are excited about it. My internship is going pretty well too! I’m feeling much more comfortable in the office and with my co-workers. I’m also actually feeling better about my abilities to do the work well too. At first I was a little apprehensive about how well I would do, but I’m really happy with the work I’m contributing, despite my lack of knowledge of the topics.

While my schoolwork and job seem to be doing pretty, I’m glad it is time for a bit of a break. There has been so much going on and I think it’ll be nice to not have to worry about going to class, going to work, doing homework, and trying to see all the sites I can all at the same time.

I’ve been able to do some more traveling since my last blog. A couple weekends ago, I went to Dublin, which was absolutely incredible! I was really excited to see the Bok of Kells at Trinity University and then utterly disappointed when we got there and discovered it was off display that day. It just so happened that the lift to bring it out of storage broke that day. Despite my disappointment, I was able to still go in the Long Room which is this incredible library stocked with first editions of so many famous books. The security guard there was kind enough to talk to me about how many books were in the library and showed me pictures of ones he was able to see and hold.

Also, I was able to go to Wales last weekend! It was so incredibly beautiful. I went with my roommate to this small town called Hay-on-Wye. It’s the second hand book capital of the world and has over thirty bookstores! There was even a castle in the town! And of course, it was a bookstore too. Everything closed at like 6pm too which was so funny. It was the perfect little town for a jammie girl like me .

This week, because it is our break week, one of my flat mates and some other friends are traveling to Italy! We are flying into Venice, taking the train to Florence, and then ending our weeklong trip in Rome. I’m really excited and think it’ll be a really great week.

I am officially halfway through the semester, and things are still going really well.
