With virtual Maymester courses beginning next week and moving into the virtual summer term, Olin Library remains closed and with faculty and staff working remotely. For resources, follow this link to find the catalog search box, research guides, Your Librarian pages, the chat widget, and the A-Z list of databases: https://libguides.rollins.edu/remote. Please also find this page in Canvas, noted as “Olin Library Resources”.
As we noted prior to sheltering-in-place in March, the physical building is closed, but the *library* is open. The Olin team of faculty and staff is at work supporting virtual synchronous learning.
Please reach out to your disciplinary/departmental liaison via phone, email, or chat with any needs. We are holding remote meetings, appointments, and research consultations, and purchasing new electronic books by request. Interlibrary loan is active for articles. The librarians are monitoring email (askOlinLibrary@rollins.edu) and chat reference, and meeting and teaching virtually. The Archives team is poised to assist with digital collections and appointments, and the Tutoring and Writing Center is prepared for synchronous online tutoring. Jonathan Harwell can assist with locating electronic resources and ebooks to support teaching, research, and assignments.
Students: if you need help with assignments, please visit https://www.rollins.edu/library/yourlibrarian/ to find the librarian for your course discipline. Schedule a research consultation by reaching out to the librarian via email, or by scheduling an appointment online through EAB: https://www.rollins.edu/library/consult/.
As we move into the summer, Olin Library will follow College guidelines on phases of campus reopening.
