I look forward to hearing from you.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollins.edu\/library\/services\/oer.html\">Open Educational Resources<\/a>\u00a0(OER)\u00a0Grant aims to accomplish three main goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Significantly lower the cost of required materials (i.e. textbooks) to enrolled students in a specific course.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and improve student learning outcomes and satisfaction with the required materials.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the growing body of\u00a0OER\u00a0available to the global higher education community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grants in the form of stipends of up to $3000 are available for Rollins faculty members interested in working with a team consisting of the Director of the Endeavor Center for Faculty Development, an instructional technologist, and a librarian to lower the textbook costs for students in a specific course using Open Educational Resources (OER). The\u00a0grant\u00a0will be for three years, or three iterations of a specific course. Therefore,\u00a0grants could last for a minimum of three semesters and a maximum of six years. The committee will fund up to one new\u00a0OER\u00a0project per academic year.
