Throughout the second half of our program, there were so many great cultural activities and places I saw, but I think the most memorable place I visited was Barcelona. There was so much to see there that I definitely need to return some day to see the rest of the beautiful city. One of my favorite sights was the Sagrada Familia. This basilica has been under construction for over 130 years and it was so amazing to see how grand and detailed it was. The architect, Antoni Gaudí, designed this Gothic structure to be the centerpiece of the city. It’s truly something that must be seen in person! Another part of the city that I was able to see was Park Güell, which was also designed by Gaudí. His creativity and use of organic shapes and color makes this an amazing sight to see. Lastly, I was able to go on a sailboat that gave us an amazing view of the city and was able to swim in the beautiful Mediterranean Sea!
