Hello All, I just want to give an update on my first week in London!!! So far London has been a great time. The hardest thing about living here so far is adjusting to the different time zone. It feels like the days go by fast and by 8 pm I am ready to go the sleep. The first two days here I slept around 13 hours a piece. I am currently living in Camden Town which is a great central area. The best thing about living here is that it is right next to the Camden market which has amazing shops and food places. I love trying new foods here. So far I have tried, made from scratch pasta, ham and cheese croissants, fresh magherita pizza, as well as amazing Thai and Chinese food!!!! The food is great but it is also very expensive !! London is literally like a whole new world, it is very diverse. The people here are not as friendly as they are in America but I have definitely met some great Londoners. This weekend the CAPA students and I were able to go on a nice tour in London. We were able to capture sites such as the London bridge, the tower of London, Buckingham palace, and St. Paul Cathedral. The tour was so much fun because I really got to understand and experience the beauty of London. While walking around I saw so many other fancy buildings and cars and took some great pictures. On Sunday I was able to attend church at Every Nation Church London, which was a great experience. It was such a great time being able to meet other Christians from all ethnicities and backgrounds and be able to worship and pray together. Today I was able to start my internship with Everyman Media Group, which was super exciting. I am working in the finance department and everyone is excited to have me on board. I am so excited to be able to learn about the business and understand what it takes to keep it sustainable. I am also excited to watch a lot of movies. I was very fortunate to be able to meet with the CEO, and get to know him as well. With my first week coming to an end I am so excited to continue to explore London. I start my first day of class tomorrow and I am look forward to meeting more classmates and dive into international finance. Honestly, I feel so blessed to have this opportunity. God is great!!!
