Friday October 24, 2025 was an exciting day in Winter Park, Florida as Rollins Museum of Art (RMA) and the Rollins College Institute for Management & Executive Leadership broke ground for their new facility. Equipped with hard hats and shovels RMA Bruce A. Beal Executive Director Leslie Anderson joined Rollins College President Brooke Barnett, and Dean of Global Leadership Anil Menon, along with June Nelson P ’89, Winter Park Mayor Sheila Deciccio, and Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, among others to celebrate breaking ground on the new Innovation Triangle an integrated destination for arts, leadership education, and hospitality.

“The new Rollins Museum of Art will be an educative and generative space—where learning happens and ideas take shape—and a welcoming gateway for the public to engage with the rich resources of our campus. In just two years, that gateway will stand proudly at the corner of New England and Interlachen.” – Leslie Anderson, Bruce A. Beal Executive Director, Rollins Museum of Art

The ceremony took place on the lawn of The Alfond Inn, across the street from the museum’s future location. The Alfond Inn is the third leg to the Innovation Triangle and the only museum in the United States that serves as an extension of an art museum with 100+ works on view from the Rollins Museum of Art Collection. The relocated and expanded Rollins Museum of Art will significantly enhance the region’s cultural landscape through larger gallery spaces designed to accommodate major traveling exhibitions and a more extensive display of Rollins’ distinguished permanent collection.

President Barnett addressed the crowd followed by Mayor Sheila Deciccio, Dean Anil Menon, Mayor Jerry L. Demings, and RMA Executive Director Leslie Anderson with messages of transformation and working collaboratively towards the future.
