Memory Bracelet

Watch Rollins College student demonstrate how to make a memory bracelet!

Many people struggle to find ways to honor and hold on to their loved ones. The purpose of the memory bracelet is to provide a creative way to honor loved ones and keep them close. Research shows that “art therapy uses creative expression to provide individuals with a safe outlet for expressing thoughts and emotions to successfully facilitate recovery from psychological distress”(Eaton, Doherty, & Widrick, 2007, p. 1). By creating these memory bracelets it helps children cope and find a way to remember the memories and times they have had with their loved ones.
