1887 – Trip to Italy

In 1887, Reeve visited Italy and toured several significant sites in Venice, Florence, Rome, and Pompeii.  Reeve was fascinated with Roman and Renaissance Era history and historical figures and sought to obtain souvenirs associated with these periods in particular.
